Do I need to know how to code?
Basic Python knowledge is required – you should be comfortable writing simple scripts with loops and functions. We provide scaffolded templates so you’re modifying code, not writing from scratch. If you can follow a Udemy Python course, you’re ready.
How is this different from other AI courses?ow much time commitment is required?
We embed AI within the Business Analyst apprenticeship standard. You get a professional qualification while building real AI solutions. It’s business-first, not technology-first, and you build 6 production applications worth £150k+.
What are the 6 AI applications worth?
Consultants typically charge £25-30k per application. Our 6 applications would cost £150-180k if outsourced. You build them as part of your learning, keeping all IP within your organisation.
How much time commitment is required?
4 days per month (1 theory, 3 practical), plus expect 2-4 hours per week for self-study and reflection. Your employer must provide this time as part of the apprenticeship agreement.
What equipment do I need?
A laptop with 8GB RAM minimum, stable internet, and accounts for cloud services (many have free tiers).
What software costs are involved?
For learning, all software we use has free versions – MongoDB Atlas free tier, Render free hosting, open-source AI models via Hugging Face, etc. For production systems, your organisation may need paid subscriptions (typically £25-500/month depending on scale), but these aren’t required during training.
What happens after completion?
You’ll be a certified Level 4 Business Analyst with advanced AI skills. You’ll have 6 production AI systems in your portfolio and the ability to build more. Most graduates see significant career progression.
